Traversing the “death valley” separating short and long times in non-equilibrium quantum dynamical simulations of real materials

We aim to tackle the fundamental bottlenecks that inhibit the faithful simulation of non-equilibrium quantum materials: the need to incorporate realistic interactions and the need to cross the “death valley” separating the very short times accessible to brute force simulation and the long times where hydrodynamics takes over.
